Welcome to Westerham Parish

The parish covers 5800 acres in the north west corner of Kent bordering Surrey and is part of the historic North Weald and the North Downs way. It has a population of approx. 5000.

The principal town is Westerham which was granted its market charter in 1227. To the south is Crockham Hill leading down towards the Eden valley.

Westerham has maintained its country feel by virtue of the Metropolitan Green Belt act of 1938, designation as an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Special Landscape Value.

The most famous native born in Westerham was General James Wolfe and the most famous inhabitant at historic Chartwell was Sir Winston Churchill.
